Rajasthan State Industrial Development and Investment Corporation (RIICO) and Ambuja Cement (ACL) have signed an MOU for a railway siding in Rajasthan.
The 7-km long siding will cost around Rs 150 crore. The tracks will be laid and developed between company's cement plant at Rabriyawas in Pali district and Ras railway station in Ajmer Marwar section of North Western Railway. Also, RIICO has inked the similar agreement with UltraTech Cement for the commissioning of a railway project in Sikar and Jhunjhunu districts. The company will lay a 6-km railway siding from villages Kolida and Beri in Sikar district to the plant site in village Turkani in Jhunjhunu district where the company is setting up a 3 million tonne cement project with an estimated investment of Rs 2,500 crore.
