Green hydrogen and ammonia producer AM Green, part of the Greenko Group, has forged a tie-up with global logistics leader DP World to develop infrastructure for the storage and transportation of two million tonne of green fuel annually.
The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed in December, 2024 to jointly create facilities supporting the export of one MTPA each of green ammonia and green methanol. The collaboration will involve establishing port infrastructure at AM Green Net-Zero Industrial Clusters to facilitate exports and developing bunkering facilities for green ammonia and methanol across Dubai, India, and Southeast Asia. AM Green is advancing renewable energy projects in India, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power, to produce sustainable fuels like green hydrogen, ammonia, methanol, Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), and biofuels.
The company aims to achieve a renewable fuel production capacity of five million tonne annually within the next five years, with a one MTPA green ammonia plant already underway in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. “This strategic partnership will enable us to efficiently export green ammonia, green methanol, and other sustainable fuels, enhancing the global green supply chain and supporting the global shift to a low-carbon economy,” said Mahesh Kolli, Founder of Greenko Group and AM Green.
