Aban Power is planning to set up a 360 MW gas-based power
project at Meghnagar near Jhabua in Madhya Pradesh. It would entail a total
investment of Rs.1,200 crore.
Meghnagar was found suitable as a project
location due to its proximity to the HBJ gas pipeline of Gail (India).
It is learnt that land for the project has been
identified and water linkages done. Aban Power has presented the project report
to Madhya Pradesh State Electricity Board as a precursor to the finalization of
the power purchase agreement.
