Amazon has rapidly scaled its ultra-fast delivery service, Amazon Now, by opening two new micro-fulfilment centres daily.
Launched earlier this year in Bengaluru, the service has now expanded to three cities, with over 100 centres, ahead of the festive season. Amazon Now offers thousands of daily essentials, including groceries, beauty products, electronics, and more, catering to customers, particularly Prime members, who are driving the surge in demand.
Samir Kumar, Country Manager of Amazon India, shared, “We’re excited to see customer response to Amazon Now and have accelerated our expansion plans. We will end the year at well over 300 micro-fulfilment centres.” The service continues its rapid expansion in Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, with future plans for other cities.
