The Government of Andhra Pradesh and RMZ Group have forged a strategic investment partnership aimed at developing large-scale mixed-use, digital, and industrial infrastructure across the state.
The partnership, announced during the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, involves an investment of USD 10 billion over the next five to six years. The projects are expected to create around one lakh jobs in sectors like IT, data centres, and logistics. "This partnership aligns with Andhra Pradesh’s vision to position Visakhapatnam as a next-generation digital hub and foster industrial growth in Rayalaseema," said a government spokesperson.
As part of the plan, RMZ Group will develop a 50-acre IT park in Visakhapatnam, alongside a hyperscale data centre cluster with a 1-gigawatt capacity. The initiative focuses on sustainability, integrating green power, and supporting advanced digital and AI workloads to drive future growth.
