Andhra Pradesh Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy presented the budget for the state for FY19.
The revenue expenditure is estimated at Rs 1,80,475 crore while capital expenditure has been put at Rs 32,293.39 crore. The state government has proposed an allocation of Rs 11,399 crore towards health sector, Rs 3,617 crore to housing department and Rs 32,618 crore for education department.
An amount of Rs 6,157 crore was allocated to transport department, Rs 14,142 crore to welfare department, Rs 2,234 crore towards drinking water corporation and Rs 20,677 crore for agriculture and allied sectors.
An allocation of Rs 1,912 was made towards fisheries and dairy development department, while Rs 3,617 crore has been allocated to housing department and Rs 29,329 crore towards rural development.
The budget allocates Rs 6,587 crore for urban development, Rs 6,891 crore has been allocated to energy department, whereas irrigation department has been given Rs 13,139 crore.
For improvement of infrastructure in government schools Rs 1,500 crore have been allocated in the budget. An amount of Rs 260 crore was allocated for the Andhra Pradesh Road Development Corporation and Rs 1,500 crore for improvement of infrastructure in hospitals.
