BEML and Balmer Lawrie & Company have signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MoU) to optimize logistics and enhance supply chain efficiency across BEML’s operations.
This collaboration leverages Balmer Lawrie’s extensive logistics expertise to support key areas of BEML’s business, including sea and air shipments, customs clearance, and domestic transportation.
A significant focus will be on managing engineering goods imports and exports, supporting operations at BEML's Special Economic Zone (SEZ) warehouse in Bangalore, and facilitating metro transportation. BEML, a key player in sectors like mining, construction, railways, metro, and defence equipment, handles sea shipments for components, CKDs, and aggregates.
The partnership with Balmer Lawrie aims to streamline these operations, particularly for critical components and earth-moving machinery destined for international markets. Balmer Lawrie’s logistics solutions will also improve air freight efficiency, domestic transportation, and operational support for BEML’s diverse business verticals.
