Bharat Sachar Nigam (BSNL) to install mobile tower along the Indo-Bhutan, Indo-Bangladesh and Myanmar borders to bruce up the mobile connectivity.
BSNL intends to install about 450 towers along the border outposts at a distance of 40 km. BSNL will take 10 gigabytes of bandwidth from PowerGrid Corporation of the India as it has extensive network in Northeast India. BSNL will use this network to link the state capitals and other important towns of the Northeast India. The project is expected to be completed by 2017.
