Bannari Amman Sugars will undertake the expansion of its existing sugar and distillery facilities located at Alagnachi village in Nanjangud taluk, Mysuru district, Karnataka.
The proposed plan involves increasing the sugar plant’s crushing capacity from 7,500 tcd to 10,000 tcd, and expanding the distillery’s production capacity from 150 kilolitres per day (KLPD) to 200 KLPD. The distillery will operate using heavy molasses, cane juice, or syrup as feedstock.
The company has applied under the B2 category for environmental clearance (EC) and has submitted its Environmental Management Plan (EMP) to facilitate the approval process.
The expansion aims to meet growing demand in the sugar and ethanol sectors and support sustainable operations with increased output.
