Bharat Forge is mulling to enter the power sector with an investment of up to
Rs 50,000 crore and a targeted generation capacity of up to 10,000 MW, in a span
of 10 years.
According to sources, the company mulls power plants in Gujarat,
Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. The first power plant is likely
to come up either in Gujarat or Maharashtra in the next one year. The plant is
to have a capacity of 1,320 MW thermal power project entailing an investment of
Rs 6,500 crore.
