Dhanuka Agritech is set to expand its operations at its facility in Dahej, Gujarat, aiming to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and export potential. Currently, the company produces technical-grade pesticides at the Dahej chemical zone plant, manufacturing a single molecule.
Chairman Mahesh Kumar Dhanuka revealed that discussions are underway with Japanese collaborators to share additional pesticide molecules for contract manufacturing. This collaboration could enable the company to produce and supply a wider range of formulations.
One key advantage of manufacturing in India is significantly lower overhead costs compared to Japan, making it a strategic choice for expanding production. The move aligns with Dhanuka Agritech’s broader growth strategy to enhance its product portfolio and leverage cost efficiencies.
The Dahej facility expansion and potential technology transfers from Japan are expected to boost Dhanuka’s competitive edge in the global agrochemical market and support stronger export volumes. This initiative reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and operational scale-up amid growing demand in both domestic and international markets.
