The Visakhapatnam - Kakinada Petroleum, Chemical and Petrochemical Investment Region Special Development Authority (VK - PCPIR SDA) has prepared the final draft master plan for the project.
Along with the final draft master plan, the authority has also released zonal development plans. Both the plans were prepared with revised land use proposals and have been submitted to the government. The authority has also called for any objections by affected persons within 15 days.
In August 2013, the authority had unveiled the first draft master plan and zonal development plans, and called for objections, if any, and suggestions from people residing or owning properties within the inspected area, as well as the local bodies operating there. They were given 120 days to file proposals and objections. It had received a total of 936 objections.
Pursuant to this, the authority then constituted a committee of experts to examine the objections filed. Based on the committee’s recommendations, the draft master plan and zonal development plans were revised.
