The Sringeri Assembly constituency, including Sringeri, Koppa, Narasimharajapura, and Kandya hobli in Chikkamagaluru, is in the process of tackling a pressing water crisis.
The state government has approved significant funds to address this challenge. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) scheme, Rs 60 crore has been allocated to supply drinking water to the three taluks. An additional Rs 700 crore has been sanctioned for a permanent water supply from the Bhadra and Tunga rivers. Sringeri MLA, TD Rajegowda, assured that once these projects are completed, there will be no drinking water issues in the constituency.
The MLA also highlighted ongoing infrastructure development, including roadwork and educational facilities, aiming to improve the overall living conditions in the region.
