Karnataka Government plans to take up Suvarna Karnataka Development Corridor
(SKDC) programme in the state.
The proposed development corridors are as follows:
Bidar-Gulbarga-Bellary-Hiriyur
Tumkur-Honnavar via Shimoga
Chitradurga-Mangalore via Shimoga-Udupi
Chitradurga-Hospet-Koppal-Raichur
Chitradurga-Hospet-Bagalkot-Bijapur
The Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) has invited EoIs
from International / National legal including JVs, Consortia, etc for
development of following projects under PPP mode.

The scope of work of the developer is to plan, design, finance, construct,
market, operate, maintain and manage the project on BOT basis for a lease period
of 99 years.
Last date of submission of EOI is 29 March 2010. The RFP for the projects is
likely to be issued to the pre-qualified developers in April 2010.
