The 1,75,000 sq. mtrs. site will develop, innovate, and produce underground and surface equipment for mining and construction, alongside housing offices, prototyping areas, an R&D lab, and an outdoor equipment test track. Epiroc employs around 1,750 people in India across Nashik, Hyderabad, and other sites. Recent expansions include a rock drilling tools plant in Hyderabad and an innovation and technology centre. Arunkumar Govindarajan, President Epiroc India, emphasized the project’s alignment with ‘Make in India’.
