Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi laid the foundation stone for a Rs 61.96 crore drinking water project in Nayagaon Vijaypur Hathibarkala in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand on 16 November, 2025.
The project, which includes a tube well and an overhead tank, aims to provide regular water supply to thousands of residents in the area. Minister Joshi, underlining the state government's commitment to development, praised the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He emphasised the government's focus on providing basic amenities and ensuring timely completion of projects.
Minister Joshi also announced the widening of Nayagaon road, installation of a tin shed at Brahmin Sabha in Nawada, and the provision of a generator set for the community hall. The Minister instructed officials to complete the construction works within the set timeframe. Local residents expressed their gratitude for the project, which is expected to strengthen the area’s water supply infrastructure.
