G R Infraprojects has emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for an EPC contract from Western Railways for gauge conversion of a 38.90 km railway track between Kosamba and Umarpada in the Vadodara division.
The scope covers extensive railway infrastructure development, including earthwork, blanketing, ballast supply, bridges (minor and major), station buildings with water supply and sanitation, platforms, retaining walls, boundary walls, and side drains. It also includes complete track linking with material supply, excluding new rails, and all works related to 30 road under bridges (RUBs).
The contract is valued at Rs 262.28 crore and will be executed over 24 months from the appointed date. The order aligns with the Indian Railways’ modernisation and expansion plans, aiming to enhance rail connectivity and operational efficiency in the region.
