The Godrej Group is expected to release a 35-acre plot at Vikhroli in Mumbai
for development by end-2010.
According to sources, a master plan is being prepared by architect Cesar
Pelli for mixed-use development, including a proposed 8-lakh-sq-ft commercial
building that will function as the new headquarters of the group. The mixed-use
development is also to include 15 lakh sq ft of commercial space, six lakh sq ft
residential township and six lakh sq ft more for retail and a five-star hotel.
The plot belonging to Godrej & Boyce will developed in a JV between Godrej
Properties, Godrej Industries and Godrej & Boyce.
