Haryana has submitted a complete
transportation plan for increasing both rail and road connectivity besides
recommendations for augmentation of power and upgradation of technical training
institutes to the Central government for accelerated development under the
Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC).
Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor is
the first integrated project of the country for comprehensive national
industrialization which will benefit Haryana in accelerating economic
development. The Central government plans to develop dedicated freight corridor
(DFC) linking Delhi to Mumbai. The first phase of this planned development
constitutes construction of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor. Simultaneously,
the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) has been
incorporated to implement the project which will be have equity participation
from the Central government, the state government and government agencies.
