The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), known for the Taj brand, has announced a new Ginger hotel in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu.
Located on the Tirunelveli-Tuticorin highway, this will be IHCL's 28th hotel in the state, with 10 more under development. The new hotel is set to cater to the growing demand in the region, driven by its strong industrial base and ongoing investments, particularly in the automobile and energy sectors. “Tuticorin is emerging as a key economic hub in South India... this signing reinforces IHCL’s commitment to catering to evolving needs in high-potential destinations,” said Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of IHCL.
The 100-key hotel will offer Ginger’s signature Qmin restaurant, meeting spaces, a bar, and a fitness center to promote holistic well-being. “We are delighted to partner with IHCL and bring the Ginger brand to Tuticorin,” said Gajendran, Promoter of Thangam Real Estate, which has collaborated on the project.
