The Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) will make an investment of Rs 500 crore in expanding its retail network in Kerala in the next few years. IOC has advertised for 884 locations, got responses for 542 and selection is completed for 513 locations.
The remaining is also under process. Till now IOC has commissioned 23 outlets up to 20 January 2020 and is planning another 25 outlets by March 2020. IOC has also commenced work on the proposed LPG import terminal project at Puthuvypeen in Kerala.
The company is also setting up EV charging stations across Kerala. Presently there are two EV charging stations and 14 more will be set up soon. Likewise, the company is aiming to go for 100 percent solar power in its retail outlets by March 2021. Currently, 432 retail outlets are either fully or partially run on solar power.
