Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) will develop an iconic corporate office building at Malet Bunder in Mumbai Port at an estimated cost of Rs 1,000 crore.

The high-rise, exceeding 20 floors, will be built on a 12,804 sq. mtrs. (3.16-acre) plot adjacent to the Ferry Wharf and Domestic Cruise Terminal. Mumbai Port Authority (MbPA) has allotted the land to JNPA on lease. With an FSI of 4.0, the building will have a construction area of approx. nine lakh sq. ft.  The total project cost includes land, building, interiors, and amenities. 

The building will serve as JNPA’s corporate office and accommodate port-related organisations such as DG Shipping, IPGL, and IPRCL. It will feature a digital observatory on the top floor and an auditorium with a 2,000-person capacity on the ground floor. Unmesh Sharad Wagh, Chairperson of JNPA, informed that the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways (MoPSW) has given in-principle approval for the project.

JNPA has appointed Engineers India (EIL) for complete consultancy for project development, including detailed design, engineering, construction, and project management services. It aims to complete the project within two years after securing all necessary approvals.
