1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Jal Shakti Minister directs accelerated completion of water supply projects in Jammu

Javed Ahmed Rana, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment, and Tribal Affairs, chaired a review meeting on 23 July, 2025, focused on water supply management and infrastructure development in Jammu province.

Attended by PHE Jammu Chief Engineer Vikas Sharma, Superintending Engineers Ajay Sharma and Sunil Gandotra, the meeting reviewed the status of ongoing water supply schemes and strategies for their augmentation to ensure sustainable water resources. Emphasising the early completion of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) schemes, the Minister highlighted the need for a swift response mechanism to handle any disruptions in water supply. He directed officials to ensure regular cleaning and maintenance of water storage tanks to prevent contamination and maintain water quality.

A key discussion point was the implementation of an effective water recharge strategy to enhance long-term water sustainability. Additionally, he instructed the repair of defunct handpumps, crucial for many communities, reaffirming the UT Government’s commitment to delivering safe and potable water across Jammu.
