Konaseema Gas Power, promoted by the VBC Group has commenced power generation
from 10 March, from its combined cycle power plant located near Ravulapalem in
Andhra Pradesh.
The 460 MW plant started generating 100 MW of power with limited quantities
of natural gas made available by the state government, and fed into the state
grid through its dedicated 400 kV transmission system of APTransco.
The Rs.2,035 crore power project was constructed by L&T with gas turbines
from Siemens and steam turbine from Russia's LMZ Energy.
