Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has secured orders worth Rs 1,521 crore across its business units.
The company’s heavy civil infrastructure business has bagged an order worth Rs 1,396 crore from the West Bengal Highway Development Corporation (WBHDCL). The order is for construction of a six-lane extra-dosed bridge across the river Hooghly besides existing Iswar Gupta Setu at Kalyani in West Bengal.
The entire length of the project is 21 km consisting of a six-lane extra-dosed bridge of 714 mtr, widening of the existing road corridor into a four/ six-lane divided carriageway and an elevated corridor of around 20 km.
The company’s smart world communication business unit has secured an order worth Rs 125 crore from Jharkhand Agency for Promotion of Information Technology (JAPIT) for implementation of Jharkhand State Wide Area Network (SWAN) 2.0-JHARNET 2.0.
The work to be undertaken includes creation and upgradation of core network infrastructure of JAPIT for supporting e-Governance initiatives, which includes servers, network switches, routers, network management system and integration with other government networks across the state.
