Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction has secured orders worth Rs 2,106 crore across various business segments.
The company’s water and effluent treatment business bagged orders worth Rs 1,954 crore. A design and build order has been received from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (AP CRDA)
The scope of work includes investigation, design construction of roads, bridges, storm water drains, water supply, sewerage, utility ducts for power ICT, reuse waterline, avenue plantation and artificial water body compatible with trunk Infrastructure in layouts for Amaravati government complex in Amaravati Capital City.
The order will be jointly executed by the company’s water and effluent treatment business and transportation infrastructure business of construction.
L&T has also secured a turnkey order from the Jharkhand Urban Infrastructure Development Company (JUIDCO) for the execution of drinking water supply projects in the Hazaribagh and Ranchi districts of Jharkhand.
The work includes design, engineering, supply and erection of raw water and clear water transmission and distribution pipelines; construction of intake structures; water treatment plants and water retaining structures including house service connections.
The project also involves automation including measurement of input output water quantity and quality through suitable SCADA and other instrumentation works.
L&T’s geostructure business segment has secured orders worth Rs 152 crore. The order received from BHEL is for the execution of pile caps, pedestals, piers, deep foundation-supported bridges and gallery, for a coal handling and ash handling plant of two x 660 MW STTP at Ennore, Chennai.
The project is to be executed in 20 months period.
