L&T Construction has bagged several orders in both international and domestic market.
In July and August 2015, the Power Transmission & Distribution business of L&T Construction won orders of Rs 1,563 crore.
In the international market, L&T received order from Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) for design, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 500 kV double circuit transmission line in Malayasia. L&T Oman LLC, a subsidiary of L&T in Oman got two major orders from Oman electricity Transmission Company SAOG (OETC) for engineering, procurement and construction of a 132 kV Grid Station at SAADA & 220 kV/132kv/33 kV Grid Station at Madinat Sultan Qaboos (MSQ). The other order has been received from Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) for the construction of 132/11 kV substation at Dubai.
The domestic orders bagged by L&T include a contract from the Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation (TANTRANSCO) for construction of a 400 kV double circuit (Quad) transmission line linking Kamudhi and Karaikudi and another one to build a 765 kV double circuit transmission line from Banaskantha to Chittorgarh from Power Grid Corporation of India.
