MOIL has invited bids for the design, construction, furnishing, and equipping of a second vertical shaft at its Kandri Mine in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The project will be executed on a turnkey basis to enhance underground mining operations and improve ore extraction efficiency.
The scope of work includes comprehensive engineering services for the design and construction of the vertical shaft, installation of mechanical and electrical systems, furnishing, and equipping the shaft with necessary mining infrastructure. The new vertical shaft is expected to significantly improve material handling, ventilation, and safety systems at Kandri Mine, which is one of MOIL’s key manganese production sites.
The estimated cost of the project is Rs 159 crore. This initiative is part of MOIL’s strategic expansion and modernization plan to augment production capacity and strengthen infrastructure at its operational sites.
The closing date for bid submission is 28 August, 2025.
