The Orissa Government has urged the Union Ministry of Coal (MoC) to expedite
allocation of linkage for CESC's 1,000 MW (2x500 MW) coal based power project.
The project to be developed at Neulopi in the Dhenkanal district will consume
approx 4.5 million tonne of coal per annum.
According to sources, the project is likely to get coal supply from the
Talcher blocks of Mahanadi Coalfields.
The project is estimated to be set up at an outlay of Rs 4,100 crore.
