NTPC is likely to set up over 7,500-MW capacity projects in Madhya Pradesh by
2016.
The company plans to construct three coal based power projects at Bamitha,
Gadarwara and Khargaone. Currently, studies are underway for these projects. The
DPR and feasibility reports are to be completed by October 2010. Once these
reports are in place, NTPC is likely to begin work on the projects within one
year.
