Shoppers' Stop, the retail chain promoted by K Raheja Corporation, proposes
to increase its store count over the next three years.
The company is likely to invest Rs 250-300 crore to add 1 million sq ft. This
would mean 18 new department stores by 2013. It plans to raise Rs 350 crore
through the qualified institutional placement route and other means by March
2011 to fund its expansion.
Currently, the company has 29 department stores and five Hypercity outlets,
apart from Crossword bookstores, and specialty store MAC, among others.
