Adani Power has received an LoI from the Madhya Pradesh Government to develop
a 1,320 MW power project at Chhindwara.
As per the LoI, 300 ha, presently in possession of Madhya Pradesh State
Electricity Board along with the infrastructure facilities, shall be transferred
to Adani. Unit I of 660 MW shall be commissioned within a period of 42 months
from the date of Lol.
Besides, Energy department of the state will support and make recommendations
to Union Government for obtaining coal linkage/captive coal block for the
project. All the required necessary statutory clearances for development of the
project shall be the responsibility of the company.
