Gujarat State Electricity Corporation (GSECL) has invited bids from potential
individual/consortium companies for selection of EPC contractor for setting up a
power plant at Wanakbori in Gujarat.
The scope of work involves design, engineering, procurement, construction,
supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the power plant. The
contractor will be required to execute the entire scope on turnkey basis.
GSECL is planning to set up a 800 MW coal based super critical power plant in
Gujarat. The plant is to operate as base load station. The power generated from
the plant is to be sold to Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam under a PPA.
Last date for submission of bids is 15 July 2010.
