The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority of Government of Odisha (SLSWCA), headed by the Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy issued in-principle approval to four industrial projects worth Rs 464.72 crore in the metal & metal downstream and food processing sectors.
These four industrial projects are further expected to provide 873 employment opportunities in the state.
The authority accorded approval for setting up medium density fibreboard (MDF) manufacturing facility with an annual capacity of 72,000 cu mtr by Galax Industries at Malipada in Khorda district. The project will see an investment of Rs 93 crore and will generate potential employment opportunities for over 310 persons.
It also gave nod for setting up a 120 KLPD grain-based distillery unit for manufacturing of extra-neutral alcohol (ENA)/ethanol and four MW cogeneration power plant in Khorda and Nayagarh. The project will entail an investment of Rs 151.72 crore and create potential employment opportunities for over 300 persons.
The proposal of Envirocare Infrasolution’s new unit for setting up a pellet plant of 1.6 million tpa capacity at Lathikata in Sundergarh was accorded approval. The project will create job opportunities for over 195 persons.
Another proposal of Envirocare Infrasolution’s was also approved by the SLSWCA. The company will set up a four million tpa slurry pipeline project from its proposed beneficiation plant at Koira to pellet plant at Lathikata in Sundergarh district. The project will see an investment of Rs 100 crore and generate employment opportunity for more than 68 persons.
The state has attracted over Rs 1,19,214.72 crore of new investments with potential employment opportunities for more than 54,131 persons since February 2020.
