Black & Veatch, a global engineering, consulting and construction company,
will design Reliance Power's (R-Power) proposed combined cycle gas based power
project at Samalkot in Andhra Pradesh.
R-Power is expanding combined cycle gas based power capacity from 220 MW to
2,400 MW (Phase II) at Samalkot Power Station, at an investment of Rs 10,000
crore. Initial construction work has commenced at the plant. The plant is slated
to commence power generation in early 2012.
