Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on 04 August, 2025 laid the foundation stone for the Rs 350 crore IsardaDausa drinking water project in Lalsot assembly constituency, reaffirming his government’s commitment to delivering basic amenities to every village in the state.
Addressing a public gathering in Dungarpur village, Sharma said the project aims to provide clean drinking water to around 6.27 lakh people across 302 villages and Lalsot town by 2027. The large-scale project will involve the construction of eight clear water reservoirs, five pump houses, and the laying of over 1,800 km of pipelines to ensure reliable water supply.
CM Sharma stressed that access to safe drinking water is a fundamental right and essential for improving health, quality of life, and economic development in rural areas. By the project’s completion, it is expected to significantly improve water availability, reduce dependency on tanker supplies, and support sustainable village-level development in the Dausa district.
