Resonia's subsidiary, NER Expansion Transmission has been granted a transmission licence for the "North Eastern Region Expansion Scheme (NERES) XXV (Part A)" by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC).
The licence, issued on 17 November, 2025, is valid for 25 years. The interstate transmission project, valued at approx. Rs 825 crore, includes a new 400 kV switching station at Bornagar, Assam, and provisions for future voltage expansions. Resonia emerged as the winning bidder in an e-reverse auction, reducing its bid by 23 percent to secure the project.
The project is set to complete within 36 months, supporting enhanced power connectivity in the region.
