Sahyadri Industries’ Board of Directors have sanctioned approval for setting up a new unit in Maharashtra for manufacturing non-asbestos cement board having a capacity of 72,000 tpa.
The new plant with an annual capacity of 72,000 tonne will be set up at a cost of Rs 95 crore by June 2025.
The company also intends to expand its Odisha plant at Rs 95 crore. After expansion the plant will have an annual capacity of 1,20,000 mt of asbestos corrugated sheets. Completion is expected by December 2023.
The company will undertake capacity expansion of flat sheets at Perundurai plant in Tamil Nadu. Capex of Rs 60 crore has been assigned for the expansion out of which Rs 47 crore has been incurred through internal accruals. The commercial production will start from Q4/FY22.
