Singareni Collieries has invited bids for selecting a mine developer and operator (MDO) for the operation of the Naini Coal Mine in Odisha.
The MDO will be responsible for the development, operation, and maintenance of the mine, including detailed designing, financing, mine construction, and procurement of necessary equipment. The scope of work includes excavation of rocks and earth, drilling and blasting, haul road construction, coal handling, and electrical power distribution systems, and reclamation of overburden dumps. The selected MDO will be expected to fulfill all obligations in accordance with the project agreement over a period of 25 months.
The estimated contract value is Rs 1,604.42 crore, with the bid submission deadline set for 29 December, 2025.
