Transport Corporation of India (TCI) has expanded its cold chain logistics infrastructure with the addition of a 1.5 lakh sq. ft. facility in Taj Nagar, Gurugram.
The new warehouse, operated by TCI Cold Chain Solutions., a joint venture with Mitsui & Co. of Japan, is designed to serve industries like quick commerce, pharmaceuticals, food and beverages, dairy, meat and poultry, beauty, and life sciences. Located strategically between the KMP and Dwarka Expressways, the facility provides 24x7 truck access and multi-temperature storage for frozen, chilled, and air-conditioned goods. It operates on a flexible, pay-as-you-use model with various storage options. The facility also includes advanced features like a 500-kW rooftop solar system, energy-efficient refrigeration, SCADA-based monitoring, and over 600 CCTV cameras.
CEO B Sumit Kumar stated, "This expansion reflects the growing need for scalable and compliant infrastructure in the region." With over 16 million sq. ft. of warehousing space, TCI strengthens its position in the logistics sector.
