THDC India has invited bids for ash dyke package for Khurja Super Thermal Power Project (two x 660 MW) located at Dushahara village, Khurja teshil in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh.
The scope of work includes construction of starter dyke for two lagoon of bottom ash (BA) and one lagoon for flyash (FA) with one common over flow lagoon (OFL) and associated works. Future raisings are not included in the scope of this package.
Starter dyke will be constructed with earth (soil) as main construction material. The work also involves two well type water escape structure (WES) with flexible opening in each bottom ash lagoon for taking out decanting water from storage lagoon to over flow lagoon. The spillways are envisaged for safe evacuation of rain water from storage lagoons including HCSD lagoon and OFL.
The value of the project is Rs 229.89 crore.
