The Municipal Corporation of Bhopal has floated a tender for the development of a sewerage network spanning 161.37 km in the west-south region of the Bhopal municipal area. The contract under Package 1, includes the survey, design, construction, and commissioning of the sewerage system, encompassing sewage treatment plants (STPs), intermediate pumping stations, and a main pumping station cum pump house at Laukhedi with a five MLD capacity.
As part of the project scope, a sophisticated control and monitoring system incorporating PLC-SCADA and OCMS will be installed to ensure real-time performance tracking and efficient operation of the sewerage infrastructure. The work, valued at Rs 130.52 crore also includes the operation and maintenance (O&M) of the entire scheme for a period of five years post-completion. The time allocated for completion of the construction work is 36 months, including the rainy season.
