Thiruverkadu Municipality in Tamil Nadu has issued a tender for the development of an underground sewerage system within its jurisdiction.
The work scope includes the design, construction, and commissioning of underground sewer lines, pumping stations, manholes, and treatment facilities. The work is valued at Rs 376.53 crore. It is intended to serve both residential and commercial areas within the municipality, addressing long-standing issues of sewage overflow and public health hazards.
The project is expected to significantly enhance the hygiene and living standards in Thiruverkadu by replacing outdated and inadequate drainage systems. It aligns with the state’s broader mission to upgrade urban infrastructure under various public health and environmental improvement schemes.
The closing date for bid submisison is 24 September, 2025.
