Thyssenkrupp Elevator has launched HoloLinc, a first-of-its-kind, fully digitalised sales process for the stairlift industry.
The product has been developed in partnership with Zühlke and Microsoft. HoloLinc will be used by 120 sales representatives to speed up the process, from measurement to delivery.
The sales executives will receive a HoloLinc toolkit, comprising Microsoft HoloLens, a tablet, portable printer, as well as other technical accessories.
The product with a combination of mixed-reality and a cloud-based configurator allows for significantly accelerated delivery times. The customers will now be able to see exactly what the product will look like in their home and customize it to their specific requirements.
Digitized engineering will make the process between measurement and delivery four times quicker from around 40 to 70 days to now 14 days.
HoloLinc enables a transformation in the way space is measured and digitised that allows sales executives to immediately start production. The measurement during the first visit allows the company to factor in individual user ergonomics, and obstacles unique to that user’s home. The data captured is sent to Azure, Microsoft’s cloud platform and is used to configure the most suitable stairlift for the customer.
