Torrent Power has commissioned and started commercial generation of
electricity from the second unit of 382.5 MW of gas based combined cycle Sugen
power plant at Akhakhol in Gujarat. With this, the installed capacity of 765 MW
(2x382.5MW) has commenced commercial operation.
The third unit is expected to start commercial operation during this quarter.
The company has already entered into a PPA with PTC India for selling 100 MW of
power.
