Trineva Infra Projects (TIPPL) and Jindal Water Infrastructure (JWIL) in joint venture (JV) has awarded the contract to W S Industries for the construction of the ‘New Multi Village scheme’ in Tamil Nadu under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) fund.
The combined water supply scheme (CWSS) will be extended to Nagapattinam Municipality, Thittachery, Velankanni, Kilvelur, Thalainayar Town Panchayats and 980 rural habitations in Nagapattinam, Thirumarugal, Kilvelur, Keelaiyur, Thalainayar and Vedaranyam unions in Nagapattinam district.
The CWS scheme, costing Rs 317.29 crore, is expected to be carried out within 18 months, with a maintenance period of 60 months under Package-II.
Similarly, W S Industries received a contract from CMK Projects involving the construction of integrated storm water drain (SWD) works in M1 and M2 components in Kovalam Basin in expanded areas in Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) under Package-X covering various streets of Zone-14 in Tamil Nadu. The estimated cost of SWD works is Rs 54.53 crore.
