The pre-execution activities have been put on fast tack by Moser Baer Power &
Infrastructures 1,200 MW thermal power project in Madhya Pradesh, in order to
commence construction work.
The company has acquired 996 acre spread across the villages of Murra, Guwari,
Belia and Jaithari, needed for construction of the project units as well as for
the development of the green-belt.
The coal requirement for the plant has been estimated at 6.6 million tpa. The
company has already tied up with South Eastern Coalfields to meet the feedstock
requirements of this project. The plant is likely to be commissioned within 36
months from the date of award of contract for the main plant equipment.
