Swiss-Dutch nutrition, health, and beauty major dsm-firmenich has announced a significant expansion of its operations in India with a combined investment of 70 million euros (over Rs 715 crore).
The company has inaugurated its newly-expanded seasoning plant in Kerala and initiated groundwork for a new seasoning facility in Gujarat, marking a strategic step toward strengthening its manufacturing footprint in the country. According to the company’s statement, these projects highlight dsm-firmenich’s long-term commitment to scaling local manufacturing capacity, advancing flavour and seasoning innovation, and nurturing regional talent.
The Kerala expansion is expected to enhance production efficiency and cater to growing domestic and international demand, while the Gujarat facility will act as a hub for next-generation seasoning solutions aligned with global standards. With India emerging as a fast-growing market in food, nutrition, and wellness, the investment reflects the company’s confidence in the country’s role as a key innovation and export hub.
