MMRDA Budget aims Mumbai Infra Enhancement

To boost Mumbai’s Infra Development, Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) got clearance for Rs 6,976.50 crore capex in FY18.

A large portion of the budgeted sum will be used on Metro Rails, Mumbai Trans Harbour Link, Monorail Phase-II Projects and on various flyovers, creek bridges, ROBs lined up to decongesting the traffic flows in the island city.

An allocation of Rs 300 crore has been made towards development of water resources and Rs 50 crore has been ear marked for Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar memorial.

This year’s budget has also provision of Rs 75 crore towards improvement of Bandra-Kurla Complex and for the introduction of electric/hybrid buses for the regular travelers and visitors.
