The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has initiated a large-scale infrastructure development project in Narela, aiming to transform the sub-city in northern Delhi into a vibrant urban hub similar to Dwarka.
Under the supervision of Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, the DDA has rolled out a comprehensive plan covering sewage systems, road upgrades, drainage improvements, street lighting, water supply enhancements, better policing, and expanded public transport connectivity.
akey infrastructure project is the Rs 6,230 crore Rithala-Narela-Kundli Metro corridor, a 26.5 km line with 21 stations, expected to significantly reduce travel time. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid its foundation stone earlier this year.
Additionally, a new Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) bus terminal was recently inaugurated by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. DDA is also developing a 50-acre integrated sports complex to enhance recreational facilities in Narela.
